Advanced Salsa - An Overview Duration: 5 x 1 hour Price: $90.00
At the Advanced Level, students will do their entire warm up to
the count of “2” as an introduction to dancing “On
2”. Their routines, however, will be taught on the count
of “1”. At the Advanced Level, students are expected
to have achieved a high level of competency in leading and following,
as it is a challenging course that draws on a sound grasp of the
fundamentals covered in the preceding courses. Students
will learn the following:
1) Difficult yet leadable turn patterns requiring
a high level of skill and technical proficiency
2) Dance patterns that will negate the lady anticipating
moves and therefore eliminate back leading.
3) Dips & Tricks
4) Styling
5) Higher level, more exciting Salsa shines
6) Tips on for advanced leading and following
7) Musicality, with a greater emphasis on how
to feel and ‘play’ with the music
