Rebekah
Rebekah picked up ballet at the tender age of 3 and started competing when she turned 7 for the Royal Academy of Dancing (RAD). Since competing she has won every prestigious award in Singapore and up till now still holds an unbeaten record for the highest grade scores in RAD history. She was further invited as an ASEAN Brewery Scholar for Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) and has performed in many of the company’s ballet performances for many years.
Due to her outstanding achievements and her precise technique, she was given the opportunity to travel all over the world to compete with different nationalities, such as, The US Open Championship, The Royal Academy of Dancing (Summer School Competitions), The Commonwealth Society of Teachers Dancing (CSTD), The Grande Prix and the Dance Excellence Award held in Los Angeles would be some of the many competitions she has emerged as Champion. Rebekah has taught and trained adults and children of all ages, and many have come from all over the world to take private lessons with her.
To add on to her experience, Rebekah has attended many summer programs across the USA, London and Australia. She has received training from prestigious schools such as Alvin Ailey, School of American Ballet, Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, and even got a place in The Juilliard School.
She was featured in the National Arts Council documentary “Young Wonder” on Arts Central and was named Child Prodigy of Singapore for Ballet. Her ardent zeal for dancing is expressed through her classes and performances that have wowed many including a commendation by the President of Singapore.
