Lavina Kumar (Luv)

Luv had her first taste of Salsa in 2001. Since then she has performed at the Annual West Coast Salsa Congress 2004, Korea Salsa Congress in 2003 and 2004, as well as the Thailand Salsa Cruise 2004.

A fluid dancer On1 & On 2, Luv was taught primarily by Güpson Pierre, but also credits Edie the Salsa Freak, Joby Vasquez, Griselle Ponce, and Frankie Martinez as some of the instructors from whom she has received dance instruction, and received help in shaping her own personal style in Salsa !!

With a firm grasp and knowledge of the technicalities of the dance, Luv choreographed the opening sequence for the West Coast Salsa Congress 2003 performance, assisted in teaching "Beginners ON2" alongside Güpson Pierre at the Korea Salsa Congress 2003, and conducted a "Ladies Styling & Shines" workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2004.

Luv has also performed worldwide in the following congresses/festivals:

1) 2003, 2004 & 2005 Korean Salsa Congress

2) 2004 Bangkok Salsa Festival

3) 2004 Los Angeles, West Coast Salsa Congress

Teaching is a natural extension of the passion Luv has for the dance and her dedication, encouragement and attention to detail will unleash your passion and have you dancing Salsa in no time as well !!
